This Connemara marble Irish rosary encompasses the spirit of the Irish faith! Ireland was an early adopter of Catholicism, and symbols of early Christianity can be found throughout the country. There are ancient, 9th century monasteries and nunneries with Celtic Crosses sitting on their land. Catholicism is still important to the Irish, and most small towns in the middle of nowhere still have a church. This irish rosary draws on that history. Hand-crafted and hand carved, this rosary is made out Connemara marble, a rare stone that is found only in the most rural parts of Ireland. At the end of the rosary, there is a carved figure of Jesus on the cross. The rosary measures approximately 24 1/4" including the cross; rosary beads are 8mm each. Made by our maker-partner this rosary makes a perfect, meaningful gift for a first communion!
